SINGAPORE, January 9, 2025 – Hyundai Singapore unveils the 2025 Tucson AWD in its first-in-Singapore N Line variant, an achievement that fuses innovative engineering with sophisticated refinement. The car will be retailed exclusively at Komoco Motors Pte Ltd, the official distributor of Hyundai automotive in Singapore since 1986.
The 5-seater 2025 Tucson AWD N Line launches at the Singapore Motorshow 2025 with the tagline “Don’t go unnoticed”, showcasing a step towards the Hyundai N mantra fun-to-drive while maintaining its functional everyday usability. “We are excited to show Singapore the meaning of Fun To Drive,” says Mr Teo Hock Seng, Executive Chairman of Komoco Holdings Pte Ltd, “with such an impressive lineup of SUVs from Hyundai that fits every need and family.”
Hyundai showcases a fully electrified range of cars at the Singapore Motorshow 2025. The iconic Santa Fe took the runner up position on the Straits Times (ST) Car of the Year 2024, making it the winning SUV of the ST selection for 2024. With this accolade to begin 2025, Hyundai aims to set the stage for a strong SUV-led electrification era.
All-wheel Drive in the 2025 Tucson AWD N Line
For the first time in Singapore, the all-new 2025 Tucson generation will be available exclusively in all-wheel drive (AWD), where the sporty 5-seater SUV now gets the muscles to perform with an unparalleled sense of connection to the road, improving the agility of its handling to honour its sporty SUV DNA. The AWD system is integrated into the Tucson N Line with a 50:50 torque distribution, and drivers will be able to engage different traction systems by changing the Tucson’s terrain modes.
To power the AWD system, the Tucson N Line houses a 1.6L turbo-charged engine and hybrid motor with a 6-speed automatic transmission for smooth, quiet, and efficient performance. This engine delivers an overall power and torque of 212hp (158kW) and 367Nm respectively, and reaches a top speed of 186km/h. Despite having an AWD system and a larger torque output as compared to the previous 2021 Tucson, the 2025 Tucson AWD has a fuel efficiency of 6.6L/100km thanks to high efficiency combustion. Thanks to Hyundai’s hybrid innovation, the 2025 Tucson AWD remains at B Band in Singapore’s Vehicular Emissions Scheme (VES) at no additional surcharge.
The full-hybrid system in the 2025 Tucson AWD provides a balanced combination of fun-to-drive performance and excellent economy. It features Hyundai’s e-Motion technology, which precisely applies electric motor torque control according to dynamic inputs and road conditions to improve cornering performance for heightened driver confidence and even more fun-to-drive dynamics. The sporty SUV now offers driver-adjustable levels of regenerative braking for improved control and comfort.
Completely Redesigned Interior
The 2025 Tucson N Line’s interior may feature the biggest visual upgrades of all, thanks to an innovative driver-centric open-flowing design. This cabin glow-up incorporates a redesigned panoramic curved display that integrates a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment display. The N Line SUV is plaid with N Line-exclusive suede seats with red stitching, and thicker side bolsters to provide a bucket-seat experience. The soft luxurious suede is coupled with ventilated and heated seats in the 2025 Tucson N Line, and the driving experience is enhanced with the Krell audio system, a sunroof, and a 12-inch head-up display for drivers.
In a commitment to make the cabin more intuitive for drivers, the 2025 Tucson AWD retains buttons and knobs in its redesigned center stack, which holds frequent-use driver controls including audio volume and tuning, along with select terrain controls and a wireless quick-charging pad (15-watt) for greatly improved ergonomics. A new dashboard tray located above the glovebox adds even more storage space for front-seat passengers.
The 2025 Tucson AWD joins the rest of the Hyundai SUV collection with a shift-by-wire column-mounted gear selector, liberating more usable space in the centre console. The SUV’s improved infotainment system features faster processing speeds, enhanced colors, and sharper graphics along with more intuitive layouts for improved ease of use.
Human-centric Technology Integration and Safety
For 2025, the Tucson N Line’s available integrated memory system includes both power driver’s seat and outside mirror settings for greater convenience. Front passengers now have access to USB-C data and charging ports with improved 27-watt charging capability. Rear passengers also receive standard USB-C charging ports. For 2025, Wireless Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® integration are now standard on all Tucson models. The HVAC system now adds “After-Blow” – automatic fan ventilation after A/C system shutdown to help reduce condensation and odors caused by excessive humidity.
The 2025 Tucson AWD N Line is fully decked out with all the Hyundai SmartSense™ and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) and continues to be built with Hyundai’s renowned Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS). It is a combination of these innovations into safety that awarded the 2025 Tucson the Top Safety Pick+ title by the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS).
Exterior Design Enhancements
The 2025 Tucson AWD presents an evocative, bold appearance with ‘Parametric Dynamics’ design language and kinetic, jewel-like surface detailing that ensures its distinct identity in today’s crowded SUV marketplace. A refreshed front grille with Tucson’s iconic daytime running lights gives the SUV a more planted road presence. New alloy wheels, anodized aluminum badging, and a 75-mm longer rear wiper blade for improved visibility adds to these purposeful changes.
On the N Line variant, the front grille presents a more aggressive diamond design with an N Line badge. The Tucson AWD N Line also drives with N Line exclusive 19-inch wheels with N wheel caps, N Line exclusive twin tip muffler, black trimming, and is also instantly noticeable thanks to the N Line badges on the car.
